Immerse yourself in the world of the author who wrote “The thirty best ways to murder her husband“.
The Korean Culture Center of France invites you to meet the writer SEO MI-AE on Monday, November 15 in Paris at 6.30 pm.
Since the release of his bestseller The Thirty Best Ways to Murder Her Husband, SEO MI-AE has become the star of the thriller in Korea. In 2018, she set about writing a complex psychological thriller that unfolds throughout a trilogy. At the heart of this project, the figure of Ha-yeong, a disturbed and murderous young girl (who embodies the upheavals experienced by Korean society) that we discover as a child in the first volume and whose main stages of life we follow through different criminal cases. The first volume of the Bonne nuit maman trilogy was published in France by Matin Calme editions in March 2020; the second volume Shh, it’s a secret has just arrived in bookstores in Korea and France.
Good Night Mum was a huge success and has already been translated in over a dozen countries. Besides her activity as a novelist, SEO MI-AE is also a screenwriter for cinema and television.
This literary meeting, offered by Matin Calme editions and the Korean Cultural Center, will include the reading of some texts taken from SEO MI-AE‘s books. It will be presented by Pierre Bisiou, editorial director of Éditions Matin Calme.
