Singer CL brought up the story of 2NE1’s breakup.
AP Entertainment posted an interview video with CL on the 16th (Korea Standard Time), saying she mentioned the situation when the group broke up.
In this interview, CL drew attention by saying, “When I was able to speak with MINZI a few years ago, she said that she was aware of the group’s disbandment through the media.” adding “To be honest I was in the same situation“.
CL said, “It was over Thanksgiving dinner when my phone rang. This situation, at that time, was very heartbreaking for me,” she recalls.

Since then, CL has revealed that she is satisfied with her life as a solo artist, saying:
“Now I have at least a lot of freedom and control over what I choose to do.”
The girl group 2NE1, led by CL, announced its disbandment in November 2016, with each member going their own way.
