Singer CHUNGHA has become the first winner of the Best K-pop Album award at the 19th Korea Music Awards.

CHUNGHA won Best K-pop Album at the “19th Korean Music Awards,” which aired live online on March 1.
CHUNGHA, who was nominated in the Best K-pop Album category with her debut full-length album “QUERENCIA,” which was released in February 2021, was named the winner, beating out prominent competing artists.
In particular, the “Best K-pop Album” Award was the first to be awarded in a new category of the “Korean Popular Music Award“.
CHUNGHA has many episodes in “QUERENCIA”.
“I’m so grateful to the staff and the dancers who made it all happen. I also thank my family and friends for laughing with me every time I struggled.”,
she said in her acceptance speech. “It was an album that required a lot of courage, but I was able to finish a precious album without fear thanks to the support of BYULHARANG (official name of the fandom) which always served as my refuge. Following this award, which is become a very special memory, we will reward you with good activities,” she added, expressing her sincere affection for the fans as well as the album.
“QUERENCIA”, which won the award for Best K-pop Album, is a well-made album filled with 21 tracks from various genres that can confirm CHUNGHA’s limitless musical abilities. It proved to be a worldwide trend being named the top 50 album of 2021 by Billboard.
