Group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dogyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino) topped the “Global Album Sales Chart” selected by International Archives Association (IFPI).
According to an official website and SNS channel released by the International Music Industry Association (IFPI) on March 2, SEVENTEEN’s 9th mini album “ATTACCA” ranked third on the 2021 Global Album Sales. Chart 2021.
It is a record, after Adele’s album “30” and ABBA’s “Voyage”, the highest among K-pop artists listed on the 2021 worldwide album sales chart. Additionally, SEVENTEEN ranked eighth on the 2021 World Album Sales Chart with his eighth mini album “YOUR CHOICE” and posted two albums in the top 10.
Earlier, SEVENTEEN entered the 9th place of the Global Artist Chart 2021, a chart by the International Music Industry Association (IFPI) which ranks by adding up the sales of actual albums sold worldwide each year, digital music downloads , audio and video streaming figures.
SEVENTEEN has hit 1 million consecutive five times with their ninth mini album “ATTACCA” and managed to chart on Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200” for two consecutive weeks, setting their own record. His 8th mini album “YOUR CHOICE” and 9th mini album “ATTACCA” easily exceeded 1 million initial sales, becoming the only artist to record 2 million consecutive initial sales last year.
