BTS: A new award added to their collection

BTS group, consisting of RM, SUGA, JIN, J-HOPE, JIMIN, V, JUNGKOOK, won an award at the 2022 Korean Music Awards

On March 1, 2022, the Korean Music Awards 2022 ceremony was held. This Korean ceremony aims to reward artists for their albums and music released during the previous year. Unlike other Korean award ceremonies, the Korean Music Award (known as KMA) does not only take into account sales and stream figures. Indeed, the latter wishes to honor the artists by taking into account the music, its words and its impact.

BTS, a BIG HIT MUSIC label group, was nominated in three categories including “Artist of the Year” as well as “Music of the Year” and “Best Kpop Music” with its title “Butter” .

The year 2022 is obviously already synonymous with success for the BTS group. Indeed, with this first ceremony of the year, BTS won the Daesang for the best artist of the year. Precision being made here that a Daesang is the most important and coveted prize by Korean artists.

With this award, BTS extends its record as the most Daesang-winning artists in Korean music history and becomes the first artist to win Artist of the Year Daesang 3 times at the Korean Music Awards.

The future ceremony at which BTS is nominated is the 64th GRAMMYs which will take place on April 4th.
