SEVENTEEN
Overseas media gave favorable reviews to SEVENTEEN’s fourth album “FACE THE SUN“.

On the 27th and 28th (local time), the US Billboard, the Guardian and Dazed, a leading UK daily, all chose SEVENTEEN’s fourth album, “FACE THE SUN” as the must-listen album this week.
First, Billboard said, “SEVENTEEN is back with a bold look. ‘K-pop wonder artist’ SEVENTEEN is starting a new project with two ‘firecrackers’. The English title track ‘Darl+ing‘ is a song by pop genre with tempos and innocence, and “Hot,” which focuses on hip-hop, has a smooth rhythm and makes us all clap our hands together, highlighting SEVENTEEN’s new look.
Billboard added, “This 13-member band grabs our attention and shows newly realized meaning by consistently emitting dynamic energy across every track on the album.“
Introducing SEVENTEEN’s fourth full album, The Guardian said, “SEVENTEEN is set to follow BTS to become a global superstar. Both of SEVENTEEN’s mini albums released in the last year have reached the top 20 of the US charts. The fourth full album, which contains SEVENTEEN’s first English song and the sweet synth pop sound, “Darl+ing”, encourages this growth“.
Additionally, “The nine-track album is filled with pop genre songs that have a wide range of sounds from energetic hip-hop to western guitar. In the music video for “Hot,” SEVENTEEN shows explosive choreography against desert reminiscent of a post-apocalypse moment, dodging bullets and motorcycles,” praising the performance.
On the first day of the release of their fourth full-length album, SEVENTEEN achieved a career high with 1.75 million copies for their sixth consecutive million sellers chart, and “FACE THE SUN” topped Hanteo Weekly. Album Chart (2022.05.23- 2022.05.29) three days after its release. It also topped the weekly retail albums chart in the Gaon Chart’s 22nd week (aggregation 2022.05.22-2022.05.28).
Attention is focused on whether SEVENTEEN, who correctly proved their title as “the ‘hottest’ artist alive” by beating the initial sales volume of their 9th mini-album “ATTACCA” in one day after its release, will be in the possibility of reaching its initial “double million copies” with a single album.
