On the day BTS member Jin enlisted, a rare scene was created in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.

JIN entered the Army’s 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Unit in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do on December 13. After five weeks of basic military training, he will be deployed as an active soldier in the army. Its scheduled release date is June 12, 2024.
“It’s time to say goodbye.”
On the day of her admission, fans applauded JIN with equal enthusiasm. Purple signs and balloons expressing their love by the “ARMY” fandom flew everywhere in front of the new school. The sign read, “BTS 김석진 군과 모든 장병들의 입영을 환영합니다.” welcoming JIN to his new home.

While the first military enlistment of BTS members, which enjoys worldwide popularity, has attracted attention, an unusual workforce has also been deployed in emergencies. Yeoncheon Police Station announced on Dec. 12, a day before admission day, that a large number of staff, including 270 police and foreign affairs police who can do translations, will be deployed to the site. Additionally, it was announced that a ward would be operated and ambulances would be on standby.
However, Big Hit Music, his agency, had said that there would be no special event for JIN joining the military, and JIN also asked to refrain from visiting the site for fear of accidents, so there were no crowds except for a few fans visiting the site.

Instead, the facade of the training camp was crowded with government control personnel and domestic and foreign journalists. And as promised, JIN drove past the Shinchwadae Guard Center around 1:40 p.m. KST upon entering the vehicle without a distinct greeting. Six black vehicles were shared by JIN and his agency employees to avoid overflow when he was admitted.
Since then, the agency has posted a photo on BTS’s official social media service revealing how all the members together accompanied JIN’s entrance to cheer him on. (Photo at the beginning)

JIN previously announced his request to overturn his enlistment deferral and his decision to join the military in October, ending the controversy over military service exemptions that had been going on since last year. As a result, starting with JIN, who was born in 1992, other members are also set to join the military.
