Today at 2 p.m. KST, ATEEZ released the album « SPIN OFF: FROM THE WITNESS » and the MV for the title song « HALAZIA ».
The MV for « HALAZIA » exudes an unusual atmosphere from the start, with the ATEEZ members (HONGJOONG, SEONGHWA, YUNHO, YEOSANG, SAN, MINGI, WOOYOUNG, JONGHO), wearing a cape, dancing between the collapsed buildings. Shortly after in the clip, the strange metallic sphere (which was shown in the Prologue), which was floating towards the sky, falls on SAN thanks to everyone’s power, leaving a lingering sound by ringing a large bell.
This MV reveals a grander scale than ever before with a desolate dystopian world and soaring flames, while ATEEZ‘s powerful group performance mesmerizes those who watch the MV. The lyrics illustrate the atmosphere of this dystopian world: « The little blue bird that lost its voice » / « We all try but we lose emotion » / « If one wish could be realized, would you grant me the light? ».
The MV ends with a mysterious sequence where we see four people, dressed in white jackets, standing on the roof of the abandoned mall, before moving back to no longer appear in the shot. Among them, there is the person with blond hair that SEONGHWA observed during the Prologue.
The album « SPIN OFF: FROM THE WITNESS », in addition to the title track « HALAZIA », contains three remixes: « WIN (June One Remix) », « I’m The One (Eden-ary Remix) » and « Take Me Home (IDIOTAPE Remix) », as well as an outro named « Blue Bird ».
Ahead of the same-day release, ATEEZ held a live preview with fans starting at 12:00 p.m. (KST). Fans, who were invited to the cinema through a separate album promotion event, had a dream time with ATEEZ, reminiscing about a movie premiere, stage greetings and talks at the premiere screening of the video clip of the title song « HALAZIA ».
At the scene, ATEEZ said:
« We were nervous and happy to see the fans up close. It is as if one more new memory has accumulated, and we will become ATEEZ at the height of the heart waiting for us. Thank you very much for coming today. »
Meanwhile, ATEEZ, who have released a new album, will perform its comeback title track « HALAZIA » for the first time at MBC Gayo Daejeon tomorrow, December 31.
