SHINEE’s TAEMIN expressed his feelings about his release from the army.
After being discharged from the military on April 4, TAEMIN posted a sincere handwritten letter to his fans via SM Entertainment‘s fan community.
TAEMIN said, “Hello, this is TAEMIN. It was long, and short at the same time. It was a precious moment for me to refocus myself, but I felt more grateful and happy for past time“.
“I missed you so much I didn’t even have enough words to say it, and I think you must have felt the same way I did.”
, he said, adding “Curiously, this thought encouraged me and made me mature.”
TAEMIN also said, “Thank you so much for making me special. I will forever thank you and move forward with a sense of duty! I will always be a person who contributes to your happiness!! I look forward to working with you.” expressing his affection for the fans who waited for him.
TAEMIN entered the Army Training Center in May 2021 and started serving in the Army Military Band after receiving basic military training. However, depression and worries worsened during military service, so he stopped active duty and was transferred to a side service.
With TAEMIN discharged from military service, the members of SHINEE have fulfilled their defense obligations and are preparing to return as a full group in May.
