SM Entertainment‘s rookie boy group name has been released.
SM Entertainment announced on July 31 that “Boy Group” RIIZE will debut in September.
RIIZE is a name created by combining “Rise”, which means “growth”, and “Realize”, which means “a team that grows together and achieves dreams”.
SM Entertainment confidently stated, “RIIZE will mark a new history in the music industry based on the ‘real-time odyssey’ which consists of seven top members with both skills and visuals and members of great confidence.”
RIIZE’s signature genre is “Emotional Pop“, an independent genre that expresses its various emotions in song.
The group is determined to grow from “emotional pop rookies” who draw inspiration from all daily experiences of music to an “emotional pop artist” who evokes sympathy from everyone in the world and fulfills its dream.
RIIZE is expected to be a new group released by SM Etnertainment after three years since Aespa and a boy group introduced after about seven years since NCT. On August 1, the official Instagram account will be opened and all members will be revealed for the first time.
