SEVENTEEN appeared at Japan’s Fuji TV 2023 FNS Song Festival, broadcast on December 6. Appearing with the introduction phrase “from a global artist who is dominating the world right now“, SEVENTEEN gave positive energy to viewers with its performance of “‘Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow-“, a track of their first best Japanese album, “ALWAYS YOURS“. (released August 2023).
“FNS Song Festival” is the representative summer and year-end song festival in Japan, and SEVENTEEN has appeared in “FNS Song Festival” for four consecutive years since 2020, proving its high popularity and strong presence in Japan.
“Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow-” is a two-step alternative rock genre with the message “Let’s do the last dance for you even if the last day comes to the world. And all these moments are now.“
SEVENTEEN will also appear at the 74th Red and White Song Contest, which will be held on the 31st. The “Red and White Song Contest” is the largest publicly broadcast music festival in Japan and a representative year-end special program broadcast on NHK every year on December 31, and all the most popular singers in Japan during the year will appear.
SEVENTEEN became the first foreign artist to sell more than 500,000 copies in the first week of releasing two consecutive works in Japan with “ALWAY YOURS” (512,000 copies) and his work “FML” (552,000 copies) dominating the charts during the first week of the respective releases in 2023.
SEVENTEEN will continue its biggest Japanese dome tour “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN” since its debut at Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 7-9-10, and at Fukuoka Paypay Dome on December 16-17.
