HYELIN, member of the group EXID, will release a first album after two years.
According to Banana Culture Entertainment, HYELIN will release her digital single “알아주길 바랬어 (Litt: I wanted you to know)” today. This is the first time in two years since the release of EXID’s fifth mini album in 2019.
HYELIN was an idol who highlighted dance music, but through this new album, she plans to show her appearance as an artist by directly participating in writing and composing with a genre of emotional acoustic ballad.
HYELIN worked with a talented singer-songwriter with a strong voice and skillset. HYELIN is also a former lead singer of the talented group EXID, and she showed her unique tone to enhance the album’s completion.
This album has an acoustic guitar sound and piano that lead the general atmosphere. It expresses the moment when she suddenly feels alone while living her life normally and contains her own honest speech.
“From this single, I will continue to be a musician. We will challenge different genres and say hello to my fans,” HYELIN said.
“알아주길 바랬어” will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. KST today.
