The singer of PNATION, CRUSH and boy band THE NEW SIX was named to the “25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2023” by Billboard in the United States.
Billboard, an American music media outlet, announced “The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2023” on December 28 (local time). CRUSH’s third full album “WONDEREGO”, the title song “Hmm-cheat” ranked fourth, and THE NEW SIX‘s second mini album “LOVE NEVER DIES” the title song “Love or die” ranked fourth. is ranked 14th.
Billboard said of “Hmm-cheat“, “It reminds us of a ’90s hip-hop pop group. This isn’t a big surprise since Seoul-born CRUSH was reportedly influenced by rap and R&B . “Hmm-cheat” has a singer’s fascinating charm, sweet harmony and ability to move between animated floats.“
THE NEW SIX, which debuted in May 2022, was included in Billboard’s Top K-pop Songs list in its second year, complementing and growing the group and the album.
