ASTRO group member and actor CHA EUN WOO returns as a singer, his main profession.
On January 9, Fantagio agency said: “CHA EUN WOO is preparing his first solo album with the aim of releasing it in the first half of 2024.”
It then raised expectations by saying, “We are preparing the first release of the solo album track at the first fan concert planned at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on February 17, so look forward to it.”
On February 17, CHA EUN WOO will hold the “FanCon Just One 10 Minute [Mystery Elevator]” Asian Tour at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Starting with Korea, he plans to meet fans from around the world in various Asian regions, including Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Singapore and Indonesia.
Previously, CHA EUN WOO started his singing career as a member of the group ASTRO in 2016 and worked as an actor and group member. Since being selected for the lead role in JTBC’s “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” in 2018, he has continued his acting activities regardless of channel and genre, including in “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung” from MBC and “True beauty” from tvN.
Recently, he enthusiastically played the role of Jin Seowon, a high school math teacher and a man who became afraid of dogs due to trauma as a child in MBC’s “A good day to be a dog” .
Starting with “Rainbow falling“, the soundtrack of “My ID is Gangnam Beauty“, CHA EUN WOO sang several soundtracks, including “기억해줘요”, “Love so fine“, “Don’t cry, my love” and “Focus on me”, but this is the first time in eight years since his debut that he has released a solo album.
Furthermore, he confirmed his appearance in MBC drama “Wonderful World” from Friday to Saturday. In this work, CHA EUN WOO plays Kwon Seonyul, a mysterious character who chooses a difficult life.
CHA EUN WOO is expected to stay busy in 2024, with the decision of fan concert, upcoming drama and solo album.
