SM Entertainment will actively respond to rumors and impersonations received via the “KWANGYA 119” website, a reporting center to protect the rights and interests of its artists.

SM Entertainment said on February 8: “We have continuously responded to constant criminal acts beyond freedom of expression, such as spreading false information, malicious slander, sexual harassment and invasion of privacy , targeting our artists through valuable fan reports and self-monitoring.”
Reported artists include KANGTA, BOA, TVXQ, SUPER JUNIOR, GIRLS’ GENERATION, SHINEE, EXO, RED VELVET, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WAYV, AESPA, RIIZE, NCT WISH, GINJO, IMLAY and RAIDEN.
Major issues revealed by SM Entertainment include
▲ the attack on the moral rights and reputation of the artist by creating malicious rumors which are not true and which are not even founded
▲ impersonate or stalk the artist
▲ produce or distribute obscene photos and videos using the artist’s portrait without authorization; and insult the artist with slanderous purposes.
“We are filing a complaint against this, and several investigations and investigations are currently underway by investigative agencies such as the police and the prosecution,” it said.
“We ask you to understand that we cannot inform you in detail so that it does not affect the investigation and the investigation process, and we will not stand idly by and respond firmly to these criminal acts without any leniency nor agreement, so please be especially careful not to get involved in anything unsavory.“
SM Entertainment launched “KWANGYA 119” in June last year. It may report defamation of artists, report infringement in illegal ticket sales and copyright infringement, report corrections and suggested opinions, and ask questions about the Services. It is open to anyone who is a member of the SM Town homepage.
