UNIQ: SUNGJU confirms he is married and a father

Group UNIQ member SUNGJU admitted that he is a married man with one child.

SUNGJU posted a message on his personal accounts on March 2, saying, “I apologize for recently surprising many people with sudden news through online communities and social media and for not being able to show myself honestly .”

“I wanted to break the news quickly to the fans who always support and love me, but I couldn’t because I had to be careful. I will go through the days to come beautifully with my precious family as a sincere father and husband” , did he declare.

Earlier on the 18th of last month (local time), according to Chinese media such as China Press, SUNGJU was suspected of being the father of a child due to a voice message sent by Moon Han, a member of the same group , while leading a live broadcast to commemorate his birthday. After singing Happy Birthday to SUNGJU, Moon Han said, “Is your son sleeping now? Hurry up and tell him to hug his uncle.” In response, SUNGJU hurriedly ended the voicemail, unable to hide his embarrassment.

SUNGJU debuted as Korean-Chinese boy group UNIQ in 2014 and served as the group’s leader. Since then, the team has not officially announced its disbandment, but all members have been active individually. SUNGJU has left Korea and is active in China.
