HYBE, an entertainment company that includes BTS, NEWJEANS and SEVENTEEN (among others), revealed the salary of president BANG SI HYUK this year.

In the remuneration plan for internal directors for 2024, which was disclosed through a public announcement on March 8, HYBE said: “We have decided to set Chairman Bang Si Hyuk’s base annual salary at 1 won to strengthen management responsible as President and underline HYBE’s message on the “Pay for Performance” remuneration philosophy.“
However, President BANG SI HYUK is known to receive a bonus of 980 million won (685,000 euros) under the current short-term performance incentive system. This was decided by the Remuneration Committee based on the management and evaluation performance indicators for 2023.
HYBE CEO Park Jie Won will receive 2 billion won (1.4 million euros) this year. The figure represents an increase of about 480 million won from last year’s 1.52 billion won.
Last year, BANG SI HYUK received a total of 357 million won (250,000 euros) in compensation, including 50 million won (35,000 euros) in salary, 300 million won (210,000 euros) in bonuses and 7 million won 5000 euros) other winnings. In terms of amount alone, BANG SI HYUK‘s revenue this year is about 600 million won (42,000 euros) more than last year.
HYBE recorded 2.17 trillion won in sales and 295.8 billion won in operating profit last year. Compared to last year, its sales and operating profit increased by 22.6% and 24.9% respectively.
The estimated fortune of President BANG SI HYUK is estimated at 3.85 trillion won (approximately 2.70 billion euros).
