Singer and actor HWANG MIN HYUN made a sweet “복숭아빛추억 (Peach Light Memories)” with his fans.
HWANG MIN HYUN held a three-day fan meeting “도원결의” at Shinhan Card Artium at COEX, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from March 8 to 10 and reaffirmed his strong confidence in the fans who filled the auditorium during about two hours each time. Fans showed keen interest in “도원결의”, as tickets for all three performances were sold out within four minutes from the start of reservations on the 23rd of last month.
This fan meeting was a place true to the meaning and concept of the fan meeting name “도원결의”, which read: “Hwang Min Hyun and the HwangDos (fandom name) promise to be together forever without changing each other’s each other. ”HWANG MIN HYUN highlighted the importance of “도원결의” as “a time to become the ‘best friend’.” From the stage composition that embodied peach trees, circular gardens, swings and boats to the narration that borrowed the story of “Mureung Dowon (place where everyone dreams of going, heavenly)”, the well-organized production ‘is demarcated.
The event started with an opening VCR video of HWANG MIN HYUN arriving at Mureung Dowon along the peach petals. HWANG MIN HYUN, who appeared on a three-level stage amidst the background noise of the forest, warmed up the atmosphere of the stage by singing “Smile”, an R&B pop song with impressive brass sound.
In particular, many people in the audience were very excited about his “surprise visual”, which transformed with bleached (days 1 and 2) and pink (day 3) hair, wearing a cute white shirt. On why he changed his hairstyle again on the third day, HWANG MIN HYUN expressed his affection for his fans, saying, “It’s a little embarrassing, but I wanted to change it to a peach color for the Hwangdos.”
When he sang John Park’s “네 생각“, One More Chance’s “널 생각해” and BTS’ “Spring day“, his slightly swinging performance went well with the sweet melody. HWANG MIN HYUN brought smiles to fans’ faces as he sat on a moving boat on stage.
The first live performance of the new song “Lullaby”, which he sang, was the highlight of the “도원결의” fan meeting. His charming tone, which moves back and forth between soft and low notes, was combined with the video’s orientation toward dawn to maximize the lyricism, and many fans with colorful Hwang Do-bong (lighsticks) and slogans with the words “I will remember today” were in tears.
HWANG MIN HYUN performed “Universe”, “Perfect type” and “Hidden side” in medley versions with the dance team. HWANG MIN HYUN, who chose “Crossword”, a smooth and exciting song based on Afro-Cuban rhythm, made fans laugh with his surprise performance of “Peach dance“.
HWANG MIN HYUN said, “I was able to look back on the last 12 years while preparing for this ‘도원결의’. I think the journey we have traveled together has shone through the Hwangdos,” adding, “We will be apart for a while in the future, but I don’t think we will be afraid of the future with the Hwangdos. During this brief break, we will grow more beautifully. I think I will feel the love and importance of the Hwangdos more .If we remember today and live our lives well, the day will come when we will see each other again on stage.”
HWANG MIN HYUN will make his comeback after releasing a digital single “LULLABY” at 6 p.m. KST on March 13.
