HYUNJIN of STRAY KIDS donated 100 million won for the deaf and shared the warm heart of sharing sound and music.
Celebrating his birthday on March 20, HYUNJIN recently donated 100 million won to “사랑의달팽이” (Lit: The Snail of Love). It is a social welfare organization that provides deaf people with artificial cochlear surgery and hearing aids to regain sounds, help children adapt to society and raise public awareness. HYUNJIN’s donation will be used for projects for the deaf, including replacement of external devices in the cochlear tube and speech rehabilitation treatments.
With this donation, HYUNJIN was named to the “Love Snail Soul Leader” big-budget donor club, who donated more than 99 million won.
Through his agency JYP Entertainment, HYUNJIN said:
“As an artist who shares joy through music, I participated because I wanted to be a little help in the search for sound. It’s a small share, but I want to share the precious love I received from my fans and enjoy the joy of music together.“
Last year, HYUNJIN also shared his heart by donating 100 million won to emergency relief projects for vulnerable populations in Turkey and Syria through international humanitarian organization “The Promis” , and being assigned to “The Promis Honors Club”, a group of high-ranking individuals value donors.
