SEVENTEEN redefines records with “17 IS RIGHT HERE” and teases American and European Tour?!

SEVENTEEN – 17 IS RIGHT HERE

On the afternoon of April 29th in Korea, SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) held a press conference at the Conrad Seoul Grand Ballroom in Seoul to mark the release of what they call the group’s “Best album”, “17 IS RIGHT HERE“.

An album that encapsulates SEVENTEEN‘s past, present, and future, “17 IS RIGHT HERE” includes four new tracks, 20 songs from its previous Korean albums, 8 tracks from its Japanese albums switched into Korean, and the instrumental version of “Adore U“.

MINGYU expressed his expectations, stating:

“We’ve put everything about SEVENTEEN into this album. It will summarize SEVENTEEN up to now and will be an album that heralds the beginning of SEVENTEEN‘s future.”

JEONGHAN added:

“All the members agreed to make this album of the ‘highest quality possible’. We wanted to put our current thoughts, determination, and vision for the future into this album.”

The title track of the album “Maestro” is a danceable R&B with a powerful piano introduction. The lyrics express the desire to become the best, leading the flow of music as various “we” come together to lead our world. WOOZI explained: “We merged seven songs like ‘Adore U‘, ‘Very Nice‘, ‘Snap Shoot‘ and recreated them into a new music. We wanted to show our overflowing enthusiasm.”

17 IS RIGHT HERE” recorded 3.08 million pre-orders as of April 19th. It is extremely rare for an album containing already successful songs to receive so many pre-orders. HOSHI expressed his aspirations, saying: “Just as we dreamed while watching our childhood artists, I hope many juniors will have dreams as big after seeing the 13 of us moving forward.

In anticipation of this new release, SEVENTEEN organized the first encore of its latest tour, “FOLLOW ‘AGAIN’ TO INCHEON“, which is particularly significant as it started at the Incheon Asiad Stadium at the “Sangam Field”, considered the largest stadium in South Korea. Filling the “Sangam Field” for just two days demonstrates SEVENTEEN‘s stature in K-pop.

S.COUPS reveals even bigger ambitions, as he commented:

“We can’t judge solely based on the size of the stadium, but I would like to perform in Sangam-level stadiums even in the United States and Europe.”

SEVENTEEN held the second encore “FOLLOW ‘AGAIN’ TO SEOUL” on April 27th and 28th at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, where the group reunited with a total of 70,000 fans.

During “FOLLOW ‘AGAIN’ TO SEOUL“, SEVENTEEN showed premiered performances from its new album “17 IS RIGHT HERE“, including the title track “Maestro“, “La La Ri” (from the hip-hop unit), “Spell” (from the performance unit), and “Cheers to Youth” (from the vocal unit).

“We prepared this surprise for our fans, and thanks to their enthusiastic response, I feel like we can work even harder during this promotion.” – JUN

After the release of its “best album”, the group will meet its fans at the Yanmar Nagai Stadium in Osaka on May 18th and 19th, followed by the Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa on May 25th and 26th. Particularly, the Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa holds special significance as the largest concert venue in Japan, capable of accommodating around 70,000 people per show.

SEVENTEEN has promised to make this year once again “the year of SEVENTEEN” with various activities.

MINGYU added:

“In addition to our “best album” of this year, another album will also be released. After our encore “FOLLOW AGAIN“, we plan to hold another tour with many dates to come; I think CARATs will appreciate that a lot.”

“Starting from fall, we hope to meet CARATs through our upcoming tour in the United States.” – JOSHUA
