WOOSEOK: New title, acclaimed by fans

WOOSEOK, former member of the group PENTAGON, will release his new song “You”.

WOOSEOK’s new song “You”, which will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. KST on May 26, is a song that contains an intense and honest feeling of love that cannot be forgotten in a minimalist pop sound. Dreamy vocals are harmonized over a fast rhythm, vividly expressing the complexity and romantic conflict unfolding in the splendor and darkness of the city.

In particular, the new song was created by working with local producer Taka Perry, whom he met in Australia while filming the music video for “Navy Blue“, WOOSEOK’s first solo song. Taka Perry is based in Australia and Japan and is a talented producer who has written songs for pop stars such as Ruel, Denzel Curry, Gold Link and Thomas Heddon. After listening to WOOSEOK’s music, he suggested presenting the song as a gift, and a global collaboration took place.

WOOSEOK and Taka Perry showed great chemistry even though it was their first face-to-face meeting, and a draft of music that both parties were happy with was produced and continued to communicate even after they returned home, thus reinforcing the completeness of the new song.

“You” is a song that has been introduced to fans as an unreleased song through various performances, and it has been well received. Thanks to fans’ enthusiastic response, WOOSEOK will confirm the album release ahead of schedule, thereby increasing fans’ satisfaction.

WOOSEOK will hold his first concert at Gurumare Theater in Seogyo-dong, Seoul at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. this May 26. It will showcase the rock sound that WOOSEOK is pursuing with a live band, performing his new song “You”.
