SF9’s HWI YOUNG expressed his feelings about releasing his debut solo single “TRAVELING FISH” on June 20.
At 6 p.m. KST on June 20, HWI YOUNG will release all songs from the first single “TRAVELING FISH” and the music video for the new song “It is l0ve ♥” on various music sites.
HWI YOUNG‘s debut single, “TRAVELING FISH“, tells the story of a young man who falls in love and travels freely to the Sea of Love. The single represents the image of young people going through countless loves, separations, excitements and anxieties, and heading towards new love again, and conveys the courage to do anything.
The title song, “It is l0ve ♥“, is a song that expresses the desire to fall in love and be with you anytime, anywhere, and to love you without regret even if today is the last day to see you. HWI YOUNG‘s emotional voice and honest and intuitive lyrics will be combined to give new enthusiasm to listeners. Additionally, a total of three songs are included, including “Drive5” and “HBD”, and HWI YOUNG participated in the writing and composition of all songs to complete more authentic music.
HWI YOUNG, who performs in various ways including rapping, singing, speaking, songwriting and acting, is expected to captivate listeners by proving his additional musical skills as a solo artist to through this album.

Q. You are releasing your first single. How do you feel ?
I’m excited. I hope this enthusiasm continues.
Q. Can you introduce the title song, “It is love ♥”.
It’s like whispering love. Please consider this a shy confession.
Q. What is the point of listening to the title song “It is love ♥”?
I paid close attention to the sound. And I think the combination of rhythm and vocals is well done. If you listen to it on a good day, you will feel a different excitement.
Q. You participated in the lyrics and composition of all the songs on this album “TRAVELING FISH”. What was the most important part when working on it?
I tried not to be calculating. I tried not to be as technical as possible, not to be too stylish and to be as honest as possible.
Q. When you released your latest digital single “HBD,” you mentioned your goal of “putting out a good album.” Do you think you achieved this goal? Do you have any future goals?
I think we still have a long way to go. I want to work hard and release a full album or a mini album. I also want to perform with my songs.
