The group BTS, represented by member JIN will appear at the “Paris 2024 Olympic Games“, creating expectations for fans around the world.
Big Hit Music‘s agency said on July 3 that BTS’ JIN will carry the Olympic flame for the “Paris 2024 Summer Olympics” to be held on July 27. Although no specific schedule has been disclosed, JIN is expected to participate among the torchbearers and spread the message of harmony and peace.
BTS, to which JIN belongs, is dubbed “the pop icon of the 21st century” and has made its mark in the world of popular music. BTS, who have established their position as a global artist in name and reality, have exerted a good influence through two speeches at the United Nations General Assembly and the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign, which is followed by the Korean Committee of UNICEF since 2017.
Meanwhile, the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics torch relay kicked off in April in Olympia, Greece, and will travel to 64 regions, including central France and its beaches, until the start of the event. JIN and the torchbearers are expected to visit the historical site symbolizing the host country.
