TWS won its first trophy on a music show since its return.
TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyeongmin) dominated SBS MTV’s “The Show”, which aired on July 2, with the title song of its 2nd mini album “SUMMER BEAT!“, “내가 S면 넌 나의 N이 되어줘“. The song scored the highest in the album score and sound source category. “The Show” is ranked by adding the numbers reflecting album (40%), sound source score (10%), video (20%), airplay (15%), pre-vote (5 %), and real-time voting (10%).
They said, “We wanted to show you how we have grown through our second mini album ‘SUMMER BEAT!’,” adding, “We will become TWS members who will work harder and try harder. Over everything, we are very grateful to the “42” (fandom name) who support us from anywhere.”
TWS has experienced rapid growth in six months since its debut, proving itself to be the best rookie of 2024. Their second mini album “SUMMER BEAT!” which was released on June 24, sold over 500,000 copies (the number of albums sold in a week immediately after its release) and almost doubled compared to his previous album. With this album, TWS ranked No. 1 on the physical album chart and the global chart (June 24-30).
The music industry is also important. The title song “내가 S면 넌 나의 N이 되어줘” entered Melon’s Top 100 at 94th place (at midnight on June 25) and gradually rose to 44th place (at 9 a.m. on 1st of July).
