Group ZEROBASEONE consolidates its position as a “fifth generation icon” in the global music market as well as in Korea.
While Billboard, American music media, announced on the 8th (local time) on its official website the “20 best K-Pop albums of the first half of 2024”, “You had me at HELLO“, ZEROBASEONE’s third mini-album was selected.
Billboard praised “You had me at HELLO“, saying: “The sophisticated production and melody are catchy, but ZEROBASEONE incorporated deeper values than expected into the music.” Meanwhile, Billboard highlighted the title track “Feel the POP” from his third mini-album, as well as the songs “Solar POWER“, “Dear ECLIPSE” and “HELLO”.
“You had me at HELLO” is an album in which ZEROBASEONE completes a trilogy about “falling in love at first sight” after a fateful meeting during the last two albums, and tells the story of an overwhelmed young man by the happiness of love. While proving musical growth in various genres, ZEROBASEONE became the first K-pop group to rank among the “Million sellers” one day after releasing three consecutive albums.
In particular, “You had me at HELLO” caused a sensation in the global music market. Immediately after its release, the album topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 23 regions around the world. Its popularity in Japan caused a sensation, and ZEROBASEONE topped the Oricon Weekly Album Chart and the Combined Weekly Album Chart with its new album.
ZEROBASEONE, which is gradually expanding its range of activities based on its global popularity, will participate in the major music festival “Tentcent Music Entertainment Awards 2024” in Greater China in July, the K-pop super festival “KCON LA” and the Japan’s largest urban music festival “SUMMER SONIC 2024″ in August to meet local fans.
ZEROBASEEONE will then hold its first overseas tour “2024 ZEROBASEEONE THE FIRST TOUR” in eight cities around the world, starting with Seoul from September 20 to 22.
