The group 2NE1 is reunited again.
On July 22, YG Entertainment announced the news of a comeback by posting a photo of the four members, including CL, SANDARA PARK, PARK BOM, and GONG MINZY, along with the words “WELCOME BACK 2NE1” on its official SNS.
YG Entertainment executive producer Yang Hyun Seok also announced the news, saying, “Today I want to tell you some good news” through a video titled “2025 YG PLAN. YG ANNOUNCEMENT” on the official YouTube channel from YG Entertainment at midnight KST.
YANG HYUN SEOK said, “2NE1 successfully came back as a girl group for the first time in a long time at YG Entertainment. The members of 2NE1 expressed to me their desire to hold a concert to celebrate the 15th anniversary of 2NE1, and we had a nice meeting to talk about 2NE1’s performance during this year.”
“Starting with Seoul in early October, we have booked concert venues in Osaka and Tokyo in late November and December. We will have to adjust our schedules in the future,” he said.
Yang Hyun Seok also said, “I think this performance will be very different. The generations who grew up with 2NE1 and grew up listening to the music share memories together. And since there are so many friends with songs to success, we want to work hard with all staff to create a successful performance.“
Yang Hyun Seok then talked about YG Entertainment‘s other groups for 2025, adding, “2NE1 will also continue its world tour until next year.”
Earlier, as it was reported that 2NE1 held an important meeting with Yang Hyun Seok for the first time in about eight years on the 27th of last month, interest in 2NE1’s new project increased.
