OMEGA X - HWICHAN
OMEGA X member HWICHAN has been accused of sexually assaulting the agency’s former CEO.
According to Korean media reports on August 2, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul handed over HWICHAN, who was suspected of forcible harassment, to the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office.
Spire Entertainment, OMEGA X‘s former agency, filed a lawsuit at a press conference in March, claiming that HWICHAN sexually assaulted former CEO Kang.
Spire Entertainment said, “HWICHAN complained to former CEO Kang, ‘It’s so painful to go to the military, please help me, help me delay the military,'” adding, “LEE HWI CHAN suddenly sexually assaulted her while Kang was comforting him. Former CEO Kang pushed his hand and sat down, but he forced her to take off her top and forced physical contact.”
According to the CCTV footage, which was indeed released, HWICHAN climbed on top of Director Kang at 2:41 a.m. and touched her chest. In addition, HWICHAN exposed her underwear by lifting her top, and Director Kang immediately pulled down her clothes.
Meanwhile, OMEGA X has been in controversy in November 2022 for claiming that it was verbally assaulted and sexually harassed by former CEO Kang.
The courts will have to shed light on this case.
