BTS’ SUGA has been charged with drunk driving after falling while riding an electric vehicle while drinking alcohol.
Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced on August 7 that it was investigating SUGA for violating traffic laws (driving while intoxicated).
SUGA was found after falling while driving on the street in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, on the night of August 6. When police approached him to help SUGA, who had collapsed, they smelled alcohol and handed him over to a nearby district. His blood alcohol level was confirmed to be above the license revocation level (over 0.08 percent).
SUGA has been serving as a social worker for his military service since September last year. According to the pre-service admission system, he entered the Nonsan Training Center in March and received basic military training for three weeks. SUGA’s discharge date is June next year.
