With girl group FROMIS_9 just one day away from releasing the music video for its new song “Supersonic,” fans around the world have had its anticipations reached fever pitch.
The MV teaser for “Supersonic” released on FROMIS_9’s official SNS and Hybe Label’s YouTube channel at 9 p.m. KST on August 10, begins with member JIWON lying under the scorching sun. Then, gravity-defying water drops rise up and float among the other members running somewhere.
The desolation that makes you thirsty just by looking at it and FROMIS_9’s energetic charm stand out in the heat. In particular, at the end of the MV teaser, the visuals of the members powerfully running through the cool current finally give you a refreshing feeling. The message of the song is clear: “you will run at ‘hypersonic speed’ at any time to escape the heat.“
Previously, FROMIS_9 showed some parts of the song and performance of “Supersonic” through a highlight medley and a dance challenge video. “Supersonic” features a fast-paced rhythm based on Miami Bass. The addition of addictive melodies, lyrics, and the members’ cool singing power heralded the birth of a strong summer song.
The title track is also highly anticipated. All the songs will help you overcome the summer heat in a good mood. “Beat the Heat” has a rhythmic melody that combines various instruments including funky bass, guitar, and strings. “Take a chance” is a dreamy euphoric pop genre that has synth vibes in the 1980s, and it’s like a summer breeze.
FROMIS_9’s third single album “SUPERSONIC,” which was also announced as a “popular choice” this summer, will be released at 6 p.m. KST on August 12.
