LEE AREUM
T-ARA former member LEE AREUM has been handed over to the prosecution for non-repayment after borrowing approximately 37 million won from acquaintances.
The Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Prefecture said today that it has referred the case of LEE AREUM without detention late last month for fraud. LEE AREUM is suspected of borrowing 37 million won from three acquaintances, including a fan, and failing to repay the money.
The victims filed a complaint with the police, claiming that “LEE AREUM has not repaid since she borrowed money for personal reasons with her boyfriend.“
The police, who launched the investigation, believe that LEE AREUM‘s boyfriend “A” also extorted money from the victims and have handed it over to the prosecutor’s office.
LEE AREUM generally admitted to the accusations during the police investigation, but “A” reportedly denied it.
Additionally, LEE AREUM was sent to the Ansan branch office in June for child abuse, neglect, child abandonment, and exploitation of minors.
LEE AREUM joined girl group T-ARA in 2012 and left the following year, 2013.
