On October 13, HONGJOONG, leader of the group ATEEZ, announced his participation in a charity run with the NGO WORLD VISION called “2024 Global 6K for Water Running“.
For his birthday, HONGJOONG renews his support for the international NGO WORLD VISION by organizing a charity run with ATINYs (fandom name).
Indeed, HONGJOONG has maintained a close relationship with the NGO WORLD VISION since 2022. The leader of ATEEZ began by sponsoring projects to support children’s dreams before renewing his commitment last May by sponsoring young people on the occasion of Children’s Day. Thus, HONGJOONG will participate in WORLD VISION‘s support actions for the third consecutive year. The latter, “2024 Global 6K for Water Running“, also known as “G6K Running“, is an emblematic fundraising campaign of the NGO.
This is a campaign aimed at reminding people of the difficulties that some children encounter by walking 6 kilometres to obtain drinking water. Each participation will allow the NGO to distribute as much drinking water as possible in the regions concerned. HONGJOONG will then participate on November 7 in this campaign by walking/running 6 kilometres with his fans who can participate regardless of their country.
Fans wishing to participate can register on the TOKTOQ application between October 14 and 20 and will receive several gifts in thanks for their participation, including a G6K digital medal or a handwritten card from HONGJOONG.
HONGJOONG said following the announcement: “It’s meaningful to participate in the ‘G6K Running’ campaign with my fans who always walk at my pace. I support every child who walks 6km every day to fetch water, and I want to work hard to raise awareness about clean water and sanitation issues.”
Finally, ATEEZ, which HONGJOONG is the leader of, will be hitting the road again in January 2025 for its “TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER” world tour.
