Some members of the RIIZE fandom have made a statement against SEUNGHAN’s departure.
In connection with SEUNGHAN’s departure, members of the RIIZE fandom released a statement on November 5th saying,
“We strongly demand SEUNGHAN’s fair reinstatement with all RIIZE members, ‘RIIZE is 7‘”,
and warned that they would send a protest letter to the relevant agency.
The fandom stated, “SEUNGHAN suffered greatly from malicious invasions of his privacy and the spread of unfounded and false information by third parties even before his debut. On November 22, 2023, SM Entertainment forced him to suspend his activities indefinitely without any clarification, and SEUNGHAN had to endure approximately 10 months of silence alone,” adding, “The series of events that took place right after SEUNGHAN’s comeback, which was finally announced on October 11, sparked our anger at SM Entertainment headquarters. The company tolerated the unprecedented act of inhuman violence named “조의 화환” set up in front of SM Entertainment headquarters, and in just two days, the agency canceled SEUNGHAN’s comeback and decided to withdraw him. This was not only a mistake, it was an anti-human rights riot that completely disregarded the dignity of a human being.”
In addition, the demands are as follows:
▲SM Entertainment must issue a formal apology to SEUNGHAN and his fans, and must immediately restore his honor
▲ Immediately disclose the current status of legal proceedings against the spread of malicious and false information and invasion of privacy that have been sidelined over the past year
▲ Reveal the person responsible for the chaotic withdrawal article and the comeback announcement on October 11, and explain clearly
▲ Reveal the entire process of the arbitrary decision made without sufficient discussion with the members who were on overseas programs, and demand that the person responsible be punished
▲ Immediately have SEUNGHAN return to RIIZE.
SEUNGHAN was excluded from activities shortly after his debut due to a controversy over his private life. He later returned to the group in October, but ultimately decided to withdraw due to opposition. In response, the agency stated, “SEUNGHAN has expressed his intention to leave the group to the members and fans. We respect the artist’s decision, and we announce that SEUNGHAN has left RIIZE.“
