On November 20th, 2024, JYP ENTERTAINMENT‘s group STRAY KIDS (BANGCHAN, LEE KNOW, CHANGBIN, HYUNJIN, HAN, FELIX, SEUNGMIN, I.N) unveiled the first individual photo teasers for their comeback « 合 (HOP) » scheduled for December 13th, 2024.
In the photos, the boys attracted attention with their confident poses and charismatic gaze. They mixed and matched accessories like chrome masks, traditional Korean instruments, fans and hats with objects symbolizing hip-hop with speakers, creating a mix between tradition and modernity.
The album name « SKZHOP HIPTAPE – 合 (HOP) » is a combination of STRAY KIDS abbreviation, « SKZ », and hip-hop (HIP-HOP), and introduces a « new genre of SKZ ». The title track, « 合 (HOP) », is a combination of the syllable of STRAY KIDS eight members and the English name of the hip-hop genre, « HOP », which has an ambiguous meaning. This time, all members of the group’s production team, 3RACHA, consisting of BANGCHAN, CHANGBIN and HAN, participated in its creation.
« SKZHOP HIPTAPE – 合 (HOP) » will be released on December 13 at 2 p.m. (KST).
