THE BOYZ
As group THE BOYZ has left IST Entertainment to join One Hundred as a full group, member NEW is speaking out about the confusion over the use of the group’s name.

In the early morning of December 5th, THE BOYZ‘s NEW stated on their global fan communication platform Bubble, “THE B‘s (fandom name) must be very confused, so thank you very much for your concern and efforts to protect THE BOYZ.“
“I saw THE B‘s statement and it seems that the misunderstanding is growing, so I’m writing in a hurry. One Hundred Entertainment is not trying to extort our trademark right. So far, we have not received any trademark right from IST Entertainment for free,” he added.
“I’m not trying to take anyone’s side right now, but I want to tell THE B‘s the truth, so as not to create a bigger misunderstanding. I came here late at night because I thought I had to resolve the misunderstanding seriously so that an agreement could be reached between the two companies.” said NEW
He added, “We are still in negotiations today, but the negotiations have not yet been completed, and we and One Hundred Entertainment are still trying to resolve the issue with IST Entertainment, so please don’t worry too much and wait a little while.”
Earlier last month, it was reported that THE BOYZ would become an artist under One Hundred starting in mid-December. Attention was drawn to whether THE BOYZ would be able to use the group name as it is, but this attracted attention because it was said on the 4th that negotiations had failed due to unreasonable demands from IST Entertainment.
For now, things are still unclear between the agencies, with the final decision to be announced soon on how and when the names THE BOYZ and THE B will be used.
