GFRIEND has made a surprise announcement regarding its Asia tour to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
GFRIEND (Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, Umji) announced the Asian tour “GFRIEND 10th Anniversary of Memories” via the group’s official social media channels and global super fan platform Weverse at 8 p.m. KST on December 17. After adding an additional concert in Seoul, the Asian tour has been confirmed, raising the expectations of both domestic and overseas fans to the highest level.
GFRIEND will open their 10th anniversary concert at Seoul Olympic Park from January 17 to 19 next year. They will then meet their fans in four Asian cities: Osaka on March 9, Yokohama on March 11, Hong Kong on March 14, and Taipei on March 29.
The keen interest of overseas fans for GFRIEND’s comeback was evident early on. The video for “Killing Voice“, released on YouTube channel Dingo Music on January 10, has topped charts in Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan, following its growing popularity in Korea.
GFRIEND will be touring Asia to mark the 10th anniversary of its debut and announce its splendid comeback. The six cast members announced its impressive performance with the introduction alone and the setlist that reflects its opinions. They are expected to show off its improved vocal and performance abilities.
In the meantime, GFRIEND will be releasing their new song on the 6th of next month and will officially release their special album “Season of Memories” at 6 p.m. KST on January 13. They will be holding a commemorative stage at the 39th Golden Disc Awards ceremony to be held at Fukuoka Paypei Dome in Japan on the 5th of next month, raising expectations for a variety of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut.
