Group 2Z added expectations for new activities with the news of the new album in 2025.
According to GOGO2020, on December 31, 2Z (Hojin, Nuvorn, Junghyun, Bumjun, Zunon) confirmed that they will release their eighth EP album “GLORIOUS YOUTH” at 6 p.m. KST on January 9, 2025.
In this album, Jeon Chang-yup, who has been the music director for many popular drama soundtracks such as “My Love from the Star,” “Dr. Romantic,” “Reborn rich,” and “The Judge from hell,” has joined the new production team, creating a new musical synergy with 2Z.
A total of four tracks are included, including “기세(氣勢),” “Something special,” “잠못든네게,” “Summer or war,” and the title track “Something special” is expected to present a new spectrum that existing rock bands do not have. Another title track, “기세(氣勢)“, plans to bring a variety of fun with lyrical melodies that contrast with dynamic sounds.
In particular, this album is the first album to be released after the member reorganization, which has a special meaning. Guitarist JISEOP, a member who has been with him since his debut, left the group due to health reasons, and NUVorn, who is good at studio work such as guitar sessions, songwriting, and production, will join 2Z as a new member.
This year has been a year of great changes for 2Z, but he has also achieved significant results. He confirmed his collaboration with Star Nest, a platform company that promotes the growth of Asian independent music and an innovative entertainment technology company based on Web 3.0. 2Z is expected to achieve greater musical growth through this collaboration by entering the global stage.
In 2025, 2Z is expected to present an enhanced musical world with an album with independent messages and unique colors, overwhelming dominance on the stage, and active global expansion based on his five-person, five-color musical abilities.
2Z made its official debut in the music industry with its first album “We Tuzi: (위투지)” in January 2020, and has been active for about two and a half years, releasing more than 20 songs with a total of 14 albums. Starting with their first overseas tour in Brazil and Mexico in 2022, they continued their global stage from Japan and the United States to performances in Taiwan and Thailand. They also made a good impact this year through a perfume donation project with a visually impaired perfumer and a performance at Jeongsim Women’s Information School.
2Z said, “2024 was a year where we were very touched by the fact that our existence can be used in a meaningful way somewhere in this society. We want to change the world, which is becoming harsh, a little bit with a good influence through music in 2025.”
