To start 2025 in style, ATEEZ won Best Album at the 39th “Golden Disc Awards“.
The “Golden Disc Awards” is one of the major music awards ceremonies in South Korea. Each award is based on total album sales recorded between early November 2023 and late November 2024 and votes from expert judges. Among the winners, ATEEZ stood out this year by not only reaching No. 1 on the “Billboard 200” chart with their second full-length album “THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL” but also reaching No. 2 on the UK Official Albums Chart.
The group subsequently created a buzz with its “GOLDEN HOUR” album series. The 10th mini album, “GOLDEN HOUR: PART.1”, released in May 2024, confirmed ATEEZ’s growing influence. The album charted on many domestic and international charts, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and France.
An influence that continued with “GOLDEN HOUR: PART.2”, released in November 2024. ATEEZ thus became the first K-pop group to have ranked four times in a row in the top 10 of the official British chart. In addition, the group broke its own album sales record during the first week of release, once again taking the number one spot on the “Billboard 200” and ranking on various charts in France, Germany and Japan.
Thus, with this new award, ATEEZ confirms its status as an international K-pop group by establishing itself in national and international music charts and end-of-year ceremonies such as the “Golden Disc Awards”. Continuing on this momentum, ATEEZ announces many activities, including the documentary series “ATEEZ 8FACE” broadcast on the Japanese channel BS-TBS.
Finally, ATEEZ will begin its European tour “TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER” on January 18 at the LDLC Arena in Lyon.
