Group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) topped the Oricon charts for two consecutive days.

According to the latest ranking (January 17) released by Japan’s Oricon on January 18, SEVENTEEN’s fourth Japanese single “Shohikigen (消費期限)” topped the “Daily Single Ranking.” SEVENTEEN’s special unit BOO SEOK SOON (Seungkwan, Dokyeom, Hoshi)’s second single “TELEPARTY” ranked second after “Shohikigen.”

In the 16th chart released previously, BSS’s “TELEPARTY” came in at number one and “Shohikigen” came in at number two. The fact that the group and sub-unit’s albums are competing for the top spot on the charts allows them to see their huge popularity in Japan.
Since its release on November 27, “Shohikigen” has recently re-entered the top spot on the charts, demonstrating its long-term box office power. Earlier, the album had grabbed the top spots on Oricon’s “Weekly Singles Ranking” and “Weekly Sum Single Ranking” on December 9. In addition, it has surpassed 500,000 sales within five days of its release and has been certified “Double Platinum” by the Japan Records Association.
BOO SEOK SOON‘s second single “TELEPARTY” took first place on the latest weekly album charts of Circle Chart and Hanteo Chart, and continued to rank high in Japan, showing the potential of “K-pop’s strongest group.”
SEVENTEEN will be elevating its global stature with its Asian tour. Following yesterday’s performance, the group will host “SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN ASIA” at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan today. The tour will be followed by Singapore National Stadium from January 25-26, Jakarta International Stadium from February 8-9, and Bangkok Lachamangala National Stadium from February 15-16.
