JUSTB - BAIN
A few words that ignited and entranced an entire room in Los Angeles.
The group JUST B, currently on tour across North America, held their final concert on April 22nd in Los Angeles. Fans were thrilled to see their favorite band perform, but what really stood out was the surprise that member BAIN had in store for his fans.
Indeed, as you can see in the video the member posted on his Instagram (and also in the various videos shared on the social media of the fans in attendance), the young artist BAIN, whose real name is Song Byeong Hee, decided to announce:
“I want to share something real with you. I’m fucking proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community, as a gay person. And my queen, Lady Gaga, showed me that being different is beautiful. To everyone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, or who is still trying to understand it, this is for you. You are seen, loved, and you were born this way.”
BAIN is therefore the very first idol member of a current boy group to come out, and to do so spontaneously in front of the public.
Following BAIN‘s announcement, SIWOO, a member of the group JUSTB, sent a message of support. On April 24, SIWOO stated on the fan communication platform Fromm:
“BYEONG HEE was cool today, I applauded her courage. I was in tears, watching from backstage. I was even more in tears because I knew it was very difficult (to do). I quickly hugged BYEONG HEE; it was a very joyful tour.”
Regarding this, a representative from JUSTB’s agency expressed a cautious stance, describing it as a “private life.” Indeed, while Korean society is open about many topics, homosexuality remains a sensitive subject.
Other artists such as singer ALEXA and the group LIONESSES have left messages of support for BAIN.
