EPEX expands its global influence by confirming a solo performance in China.

According to their agency, C9 Entertainment, EPEX (Wish, Keum, Mu, A-min, Baekseung, Ayden, Yewang, and Jeff) will hold a solo performance titled “青春匮乏> in 福州” in 2025 at the MAAQUU X CH8 livehouse in Fuzhou, China, on May 31. According to the agency, the performance will have 1,000 seats. The music industry is eagerly awaiting the possibility of large-scale K-pop concerts, starting with EPEX. A music industry official said, “If a concert with more than 10,000 seats is held, starting with EPEX, we will be able to feel the lifting of the ban imposed on Korea.”
This solo performance is special because it is EPEX’s first local performance in China. EPEX has confirmed that it will be performing solo in China for the first time in nine years as an all-Korean K-pop idol group. Previously, other idols or hip-hop groups, such as Homies, had performed in China, and EPEX became the first Korean idol group to cross the continent and establish itself as a new leader of the Korean K-pop wave in China.
In fact, EPEX has been striving to connect with its Chinese fans in various ways since its debut. Previously, the group collaborated with a Chinese magazine for photoshoots and interviews, and last January, it held signing sessions in Shanghai and Qingdao, China, generating significant interest. This solo performance in China subsequently paid off.
After Seoul last December, EPEX continued its Youth Deficiency concert tour in Asia, confirming its global influence. The group plans to showcase its new material in Macau on May 3rd, Taipei on May 24th, and Fuzhou on May 31st.
Last year, EPEX launched a series of albums in its three-part “Youth” trilogy and successfully released two full-length albums: “Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS” and “Youth Chapter 2: YOUTH DEFICIENCY.” The “Youth Deficiency” tour garnered rave reviews from fans worldwide thanks to its high-quality stages, diverse arrangements, and varied performances, including the new tracks “Youth2youth” and “Universe.”
The “Youth Deficiency In Fuzhou” concert, which will showcase EPEX’s unique sensitivity to youth, will take place at 7:30 p.m. CST on May 31st.
EPEX is currently planning to hold solo concerts in other regions of China, as well as the release of their single “SO NICE” in collaboration with American retro synth-pop giant Joan, on May 6 at 6 PM KST, drawing attention to EPEX’s unrestricted global expansion.
