PARK WOO JIN’s first solo album, “COOL & HOT,” is a solo album released after approximately two years and two months. It contains two songs that express his lifestyle, sometimes cool, sometimes hot, with distinct musical flavors. PARK WOO JIN was actively involved in the overall production of the album, from composition to choreography, visual direction, and marketing content planning. He also added a personal touch to the title track “Cool & Hot” by combining the album name and the title track. Ha Sung Woon, a longtime musician colleague, also contributed.
PARK WOO JIN, active both solo and in groups, has demonstrated a wide variety of talents as an artist. As attention turns to the new facets he will reveal through this solo album, he unveiled today (30th) his Q&A session for the anniversary of his comeback, ahead of the release of his new single “COOL & HOT“.
1. Tell us what you think about the release of your first single album.
First of all, I’m excited to be making my comeback with my first single album. This is my first single album, but since it’s my second solo album, I put a lot of effort into it and tried a lot of new things. I hope many fans will enjoy it and that we can have fun together. Through this album, “COOL & HOT,” I’ll introduce you to various activities!
2. What is the most memorable moment while preparing this album?
“I participated in its production and I remember many moments. I had some difficulty choosing the title track, but I think I really enjoyed working on it from the moment it was chosen as “Cool & Hot.” So, I think the moments related to the title track are the most memorable.”
3. Can you introduce the album and the title track? What is the highlight of this album?
The title track “Cool & Hot” is a song that allows me to reveal several sides of myself, sometimes cool, sometimes hot. The goal of this album is to reveal my different charms!
4. Can you recommend when and how to listen to the title track “Cool & Hot”?
It’s always fun to listen to, especially when you’re excited or in the car; it’s a catchy and upbeat song. Enjoy it anytime!
5. Ha Sung Woon’s guest appearance is making headlines. Do you have any behind-the-scenes stories about the recording?
I was looking for a vocal that matched the style of “Cool & Hot” and I thought it would suit Sung Woon well. I made a suggestion, but he happily accepted it, so I joined him. I thought the chemistry would be good since we’ve been together for a long time, and I think the result is better than I imagined. So I’d like to take this opportunity to thank him again.
6. What do you hope to show that’s new with this album?
I want to explore new genres and reveal different charms on stage. I hope to unveil a broader and deeper musical spectrum, the fruit of my experience as an artist.
