LEE SOO MAN, along with SUNNY from SNSD and A2O MAY, brought greenery to the streets of L.A.

LEE SOO MAN, the key producer and visionary leader of A2O, led an urban greening campaign in Los Angeles in partnership with KYCC (Korean Youth and Community Center) as part of his long-standing commitment to tree planting. This campaign, focused on environmentally vulnerable areas of Los Angeles, raised over $1.25 million—well beyond its initial goal.
The campaign officially kicked off in September 2024 with a personal donation of $500,000 from LEE SOO MAN. From there, KYCC raised more than $755,000 in additional contributions from various institutions and numerous local donors.
KYCC stated:
“This campaign is more than just planting trees. It stands as a tangible example of commitment to climate equity and sustainability within the local community. It shows what can be accomplished when entrepreneurs, artists, and residents come together around ESG values.”
Since the campaign’s launch, over 1,000 climate-resilient trees have been planted throughout Los Angeles. More than 500 volunteers—including many young people and local residents—actively participated. The project focused especially on vulnerable neighborhoods such as South LA, Pico-Union, and Koreatown.

LEE SOO MAN said:
“Planting a tree is leaving a breathable legacy for future generations. Just as artists create beauty, preserving and growing that beauty is also a responsibility of our time. To me, ESG is not just a corporate task—it’s also a social role expected of creators.”
The campaign also included participation from the global girl group A2O MAY, produced by A2O Entertainment, as well as SUNNY from GIRLS’ GENERATION. A2O MAY, a five-member Chinese group, reached the Top 40 on the U.S. Billboard charts with their debut song “Under My Skin” and topped the QQ Music charts in China with their follow-up single.
