The band JANNABI has once again proven that they embody the very essence of youth.

Recently, JANNABI performed at spring festivals across ten universities nationwide, including Dankook University (Cheonan campus), Sungkyunkwan, Sejong, Inha, Hongik, Konkuk, Soongsil, Hanyang, Yeungnam, and Chosun.
Throughout this festival season, JANNABI established themselves as an intergenerational band, capable of resonating with all age groups, and one of the most in-demand acts in the university scene. Their setlist — made up mostly of their biggest hits — went beyond typical festive performances to become a heartfelt tribute to the youth of each attendee. Their ability to capture the atmosphere of the moment and the emotional depth of their guitar-driven sound received particular praise throughout the season.
Notably, the band managed to turn unexpected challenges like sudden rain or sound restrictions into part of the experience, drawing admiration. Reactions from the crowd included:
“The conditions weren’t great, but it actually made the vibe even stronger.” “Singing in the rain together — that’s what youth is all about.”
After the concerts, online forums were filled with posts like: “I still haven’t come down from it — it was magical.”
Each performance sparked reactions such as:
“Every lyric, every guitar note tells a story.”
JANNABI’s dreamlike universe and their ability to completely captivate an audience left a lasting impression on university crowds. Some attendees even admitted to becoming instant fans, shouting along at the top of their lungs without even knowing the lyrics.
This strong presence on university stages is part of a broader strategy for the group in the first half of 2025. In April, JANNABI released their fourth studio album, “SOUND OF MUSIC pt.1”, carrying the message: “Music is not an illusion, it’s reality.” They also reached a peak of emotion with the track “May the tenderness be with you!”, a collaboration with Karina of the group Aespa.
By multiplying performances centered around the theme of youth, JANNABI continues to cement their status as a leading live act. They recently made headlines for donating all proceeds from their concert t-shirt sales to charity. Their collaboration with Hyundai Motor on the single “DREAM IS BEAUTIFUL” and their national tour “To All the Boys and Girls 2025” have helped define an impressive first half of the year.
Finally, JANNABI will perform on June 14 and 15 at the Gwangju Universiade Gymnasium, before wrapping up their national tour on June 28 and 29 at Daegu EXCO — continuing their heartfelt musical journey.
