On June 11, 2025, Japanese J-pop group AOEN will officially debut with the release of their first single, “青い太陽 (The Blue Sun).” This seven-member group was formed through the reality TV show 応援HIGH, which aired on NTV and was produced by YX LABELS, a subsidiary of HYBE LABELS JAPAN. The group’s name, AOEN (アオエン), pronounced “a-o-en,” means “blue flame,” symbolizing their burning energy and unwavering support for their fans.
The members of AOEN are: YUJU (leader), RUKA (vice-leader), GAKU, HAKU, SOTA, KYOSUKE, and REO. The group was formed after a series of rigorous selections, with GAKU and REO chosen by the public during the final broadcast of DayDay. on April 23, 2025.
The MV for “The blue sun” features a vibrant and dynamic aesthetic, with powerful dance performances and eye-catching visuals. The song, produced by BREADBEAT, YOUNG2BEAT, SHITOKO, KOHKI ROYDO, and ONI, blends upbeat pop with modern electronic sounds.
