The 5-member boy group SANTOS BRAVOS, under the subsidiary of HYBE Latin America, and &TEAM, under the subsidiary of HYBE JAPAN, will release their second collaboration new song “Origami” on November 20.
SANTOS BRAVOS officialized the news of the release of this new song on October 29, local time, via its official social media channels and the global fandom life platform Weverse. This single was designated as the pre-release song for SANTOS BRAVOS’s 2nd mini-album (2nd EP), which is in preparation aiming for a release in 2027.
This new song attracts even more attention as it is a cross-border collaboration between artists affiliated with HYBE’s headquarters in Latin America and headquarters in Japan. Both parties had already collaborated for the first time through “Kawasaki (&TEAM Remix)” released last February, and are once again pursuing their musical synergy thanks to this “Origami”.
While the previous collaboration song presented explosive energy by blending the Latin urban genre and Brazilian rhythms with the refined vocals unique to &TEAM, this “Origami” is expected to explore a much more emotional narrative.
Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, the new song “Origami” takes as its themes inner growth, resilience, gratitude, as well as the link with one’s own “roots”. According to HYBE Latin America, each fold formed during paper folding symbolizes life experiences, human relationships, and the process of valuable learnings that shape a person’s complete identity over time. Furthermore, it incorporates into its lyrics a message of deep gratitude toward family, friends, and the community who support us so as not to lose our own essence in the middle of constant changes.
This comeback takes place as SANTOS BRAVOS rapidly expands its influence beyond Latin America to reach the global stage. According to its agency, SANTOS BRAVOS has proven its strong growth by crossing the mark of 250 million cumulative streams on major global music streaming platforms over the past year.
Their debut EP album “DUAL” accomplished the performance of entering at 17th place on the U.S. Billboard “Top Latin Pop Albums” chart, and also left remarkable results at Latin popular music award ceremonies. In particular, during the “2026 Premios Juventud” held last September, the group simultaneously won the “Group or Duo of the Year (Favorite Group or Duo of the Year)” and “New Generation Male Artist (New Generation Male Artist)” categories.
SANTOS BRAVOS is composed of 5 members of various nationalities: DREW from the United States, KAUÊ from Brazil, ALEJANDRO from Peru, KENNETH from Mexico, and GABI from Puerto Rico. The group made its debut under HYBE Latin America in October of last year.
Meanwhile, after the release of the new song “Origami”, SANTOS BRAVOS plans to continue its global activities on a large scale by taking the stage at the major music festival “Lollapalooza South America 2027”, which will be held in March 2027 in 3 countries: Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.
