The original soundtrack for the webtoon “Villain with a crush” (Korean title: 순정빌런), featuring the group SAY MY NAME, is being released today, June 18.
The rookie 7-member group SAY MY NAME, considered one of the pioneers of the 5th generation of K-POP, is participating for the first time in an original soundtrack since their debut, with the track “L.O.V.E (Romantic),” the second OST for the webtoon “Villain with a crush”, which is available on Naver Webtoon.
“L.O.V.E (Romantic)” is an easy listening pop song expressing the fluttering feelings when love is born. With its soft melody and heartfelt lyrics, the song captures those moments when simply looking at someone is enough to make you happy, reflecting the deepening feelings of love.
In particular, SAY MY NAME’s charmingly kitschy yet adorable style adds extra depth to these budding emotions, enriching the romantic atmosphere of the song. The members’ clear voices, paired with pure and tender lyrics that capture moments of love, deliver a warm vibe straight to listeners’ hearts.
“Villain with a crush” is a superhero romantic comedy webtoon telling the intertwined fate of Doryeong, an ordinary special police officer, and Rosa, a criminal with supernatural powers. Mixing romance and action, the story explores the tension and love between these two main characters, captivating readers with its lovable cast.
This OST is part of a series of musical collaborations between content distributor Music&New and Naver Webtoon, following titles like “No Office Romance!”, “Killer Peter”, and “It’s just a campus romance“. The Villain with a Crush soundtrack, released alongside the webtoon’s finale, aims to leave a lasting impression on fans and hold special significance.
SAY MY NAME is the first girl group launched by entertainment agency iNKODE, founded by singer Kim Jaejoong. Even before their debut, the group drew attention with the arrival of HITOMI. Since their debut in October 2024 with the EP album “SAY MY NAME“, the group has been active in various activities. In March, they made a comeback with the EP album “MY NAME IS…”, and recently released a Japanese version of the song “ShaLala,” targeting the global K-pop market.
