Singer EUNJONG, known professionally as Silverbell, has released new information regarding her divorce from Yoon Ddan Ddan, shocking the public by posting a video in which she is physically assaulted.
On June 17, EUNJONG spoke out again about her divorce and the allegations of domestic violence against her ex-husband Yoon Ddan Ddan. She stated:
“After my husband’s public statement, I tried to handle things quietly to avoid a public confrontation. But seeing the violence misrepresented as if it were my fault can distort the truth and further silence other victims in similar situations.”
She continued:
“Even during the divorce process, I wasn’t seeking compensation—just a minimum level of respect and the fulfillment of promises we made to each other. However, trust was broken again and again until the end. This relationship can no longer be hidden behind silence. My husband’s claims that I was the first to insult or abuse him, or that he solely handled all financial responsibilities, are false.”
EUNJONG said Yoon Ddan Ddan’s behavior contradicted his so-called apologies:
“After discovering his infidelity last year, I was in deep emotional pain. I cried while hitting my chest so hard I got bruises. My husband responded sarcastically, calling me a ‘f—ing idiot’. At that time, I was managing all aspects of his professional work. I begged him to cut off contact with the other woman.”
She added:
“The sense of betrayal was so overwhelming, I lost the will to live. During a physical altercation, he locked me out on the balcony because I was ‘losing control.’ While trying to escape, I broke the glass and injured my foot, bleeding heavily. Yet all he did was ask a friend to come open the balcony door. He told others the affair was over and blamed our divorce on ‘personality differences,’ not his actions. But I later discovered the affair was still ongoing.”
She also claimed that evidence of the affair surfaced even during their mutual consent divorce process:
“An incident at his apartment left me with a damaged eardrum and made me realize how different our communication styles were. Back in college, he strangled me and broke a drying rack. Even early in our marriage, violent behavior was common—he would throw things, slam the table, and scream at me. These episodes reawakened old traumas. I started sustaining physical injuries, and hearing damage seriously impacted my music career.”
She said she later obtained messages between Yoon Ddan Ddan and his mistress, after he unilaterally moved into a new apartment to live separately.
“During the divorce process, my depression worsened. Due to financial strain, I could no longer rely on help from my family, and even saw my salary reduced. My family ultimately stepped in to support me. I was covering my own expenses through my income and a credit card tied to a mortgage loan.”
She also announced plans to pursue legal action.
Alongside her statement, EUNJONG released a partially edited video showing physical violence allegedly committed by Yoon Ddan Ddan.
“The original footage was too shocking, so it has been cut,” she explained.
In the video, a man, believed to be Yoon Ddan Ddan, can be seen kicking a woman, who is identified as EUNJONG.
Married in 2018, EUNJONG and Yoon Ddan Ddan recently announced their divorce. EUNJONG clarified that the divorce is being processed by mutual consent and that she had won a lawsuit against her husband’s mistress.
For his part, Yoon Ddan Ddan has denied all allegations of infidelity, claiming he took care of the household chores and financial duties. He also asserted that EUNJONG was the first to insult and attack him, justifying his own violent behavior.
While Yoon Ddan Ddan presented himself as the victim, EUNJONG’s latest statement and video evidence have reignited public outrage and intensified the controversy.
