On June 20, the short-form video platform TikTok officially announced the launch of “TikTok for Artists,” a new analytics platform designed to support artistic creation and enhance communication between artists and their fans.

This platform is designed not only for artists but also for their labels and management teams. It offers a comprehensive overview of the performance of music-related content and helps grow fanbases more effectively.
“TikTok for Artists” provides real-time, daily data on various metrics such as track and post performance, audience engagement, follower demographics, and more. With these insights, artists can refine their content strategy, strengthen fan engagement, and better understand how their TikTok presence impacts their overall music career.
Key features include:
-
Music Performance Analysis: View counts per track, number of related posts, creator engagement levels, and more.
-
Post Performance Analysis: Tracks metrics such as video views, likes, comments, shares, and completion rates.
-
Follower Insights: Offers a breakdown of follower gender, age groups, languages, and other demographics.
In addition, the platform offers a feature guide and resource center to help artists easily navigate and use TikTok’s tools. TikTok for Artists is available to all verified artist accounts on the platform and supports data sharing and collaboration with label or team members.
Alongside this launch, TikTok has also officially introduced its “Pre-Release” feature, which allows artists to engage with fans ahead of an album or single release. With this feature, artists can set up a pre-release campaign directly on TikTok, and fans can pre-save the album on Spotify or Apple Music to have it automatically available upon release.
Tracy Gardner, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Business Development, stated:
“TikTok is already at the heart of music discovery and promotion worldwide. This new platform is built to help artists at every stage of their careers grow creatively with the support of real data. We will continue to support and invest in artists moving forward.”
With over one billion users globally, TikTok has become a central hub for shared music culture. K-pop, in particular, is one of the fastest-growing genres on the platform, with over 65 million videos using the #kpop hashtag. TikTok plans to continue actively supporting K-pop artists internationally and will regularly launch new tools and programs that connect creators and audiences across the global music industry.
