Cube Entertainment’s new boy group NOWZ (나우즈) is making bold moves to become the “representative rookies of ZALPHA,” with full support from producer YUQI.
On June 25, Cube Entertainment released the second behind-the-scenes video for NOWZ’s pre-release track “Fly to the youth (Feat. YUQI)” through I-DLE’s official channel, featuring members HYEONBIN, YOON, YEONWOO, JINHYUK, and SIYUN. As the producer of the track, YUQI was actively involved in every stage — from music production and featuring vocals to filming the music video — providing consistent support to NOWZ.
About the MV, YUQI shared:
“I wanted to send a message to young people in their 20s who may feel lost or hurt because of friendship, love, or life. I wanted to tell them that no matter the wounds, you can always get back up.”
She also visited the shoot to watch the members act and give advice, even showing her affection by sending a coffee truck. In return, NOWZ gifted her a bouquet of roses, creating a warm and touching atmosphere on set.
YUQI added:
“”Fly to the youth” is the very first song I’ve ever given to another artist, so I have high hopes. I hope both DAYn (NOWZ’s fandom) and NEVERLAND (I-DLE’s fandom) will enjoy it. It’s a beautiful song, and I’m proud to have written something that fits NOWZ’s youth so well.”
“Fly to the youth (Feat. YUQI)”, written, composed, and performed by YUQI, is a pop track led by a catchy guitar riff. It captures the complex emotions of youth — anxiety, expectations, self-doubt — while searching for one’s path. A Chinese version of the song was also released on June 23, receiving an enthusiastic global response.
Meanwhile, NOWZ will release its very first mini-album, “IGNITION,” on July 9 at 6 PM KST, available on all major digital music platforms.
