The group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) has experienced rapid growth.
Made up of SEONG HANBIN, KIM JIWOONG, ZHANG HAO, SEOK MATTHEW, KIM TAERAE, RICKY, KIM GYUVIN, PARK GUNWOOK, and HAN YUJIN, ZEROBASEONE achieved remarkable results with their 5th mini-album “BLUE PARADISE” released this February.
With “BLUE PARADISE,” they sold over 1.2 million copies in just one week, setting a record of 5 consecutive million-seller albums. ZEROBASEONE is the first K-pop group to reach million-seller status with its first five albums.
The mini-album ranked #1 on the iTunes “Top Albums” charts in 17 countries worldwide, and all tracks charted in the Top 100 and Hot 100 on major Korean music sites like Melon, proving their popularity with both fans and the general public. The group also won 4 music awards with the title track “Blue.”
Beyond Korea, ZEROBASEONE shined in the two biggest global markets, the US and Japan. With “BLUE PARADISE,” they debuted at #28 on the US Billboard 200, the highest ranking ever achieved by a 5th generation K-pop artist. They also stayed on various Billboard charts for 11 consecutive weeks, confirming their lasting success.
Their popularity in Japan has become almost a phenomenon. Their Japanese EP album “PREZENT,” released in January, dominated local charts. They broke their own sales record by ranking #1 on the weekly Oricon Albums chart, the combined Oricon chart, and Billboard Japan’s Top Album Sales. Additionally, they ranked 4th on Billboard Japan’s midyear Top Album Sales chart, placing just behind Stray Kids and Seventeen for the 3rd best first-week sales among foreign artists’ albums in 2025. Reflecting their popularity, they won the “Best New Artist” award in the Asia category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of their fandom ZEROSE, ZEROBASEONE grabbed 9 trophies in the first half of 2025 alone: Album Grand Prize at the 39th Golden Disc Awards, Artist of the Year at the 32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024, Best Stage and several awards at The Awards, Performance of the Year and The Platinum at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025, Grand Prize and Best Album at the 34th Seoul Music Awards, and more.
At the same time, ZEROBASEONE is expanding their activities: OSTs, variety shows, hosting music shows and award ceremonies, photo shoots, brand ambassadorships, solidifying their status as a “global top-tier” group. They also dominate fashion and advertising, becoming models for prestigious brands. Known as 5th generation icons, each member showcases unique charm, and their upward trajectory looks very promising.
Finally, ZEROBASEONE is reportedly preparing a world tour for the second half of 2025 to thank its fandom ZEROSE for its unwavering support.
